How we handle your information.
MDS Diversified Pty Ltd (ABN 48 668 195 819) ("MDS", "we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. What we collect
We collect personal information you provide directly through our website, contact form, email, phone, and during engagements. This typically includes:
- Name, email, mobile number, and the topic you've enquired about (via our contact form)
- Business name and trading details (during onboarding)
- Payment information (processed by Stripe — we never see or store full card details ourselves; see "Payments" below)
- Content, briefs, brand assets, customer lists, and other materials you choose to share for your project
- Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for site analytics and security
2. How we use it
We use your information to:
- Respond to your enquiry and arrange a call or quote
- Deliver the services you've engaged us for
- Process payments via Stripe
- Send relevant updates about your engagement (project status, invoices, scheduled posts for approval)
- Improve our website and services
We do not sell your information. We do not send unsolicited marketing or newsletters unless you have specifically opted in.
3. Who we share it with
We share information only with third parties strictly necessary to deliver the service, including:
- Stripe — payment processing (subject to Stripe's privacy policy)
- Render — website hosting
- Google (Gemini API, Google Workspace) — content tooling and email
- Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) — transactional email
- Buffer — social media post scheduling (with your prior approval per post)
- Form processors (formsubmit.co) — relaying contact form submissions to our inbox
We do not transfer or sell your personal information to any third party for their own marketing purposes.
4. Payments
All payments on our website are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered directly on Stripe's hosted Checkout page and are never transmitted to or stored by MDS. We retain a transaction reference, the amount, and the product purchased for our records. See Stripe's privacy policy.
5. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses minimal essential cookies for basic site functionality. We may use privacy-friendly analytics (such as Plausible or similar) to understand aggregate site traffic — these analytics do not identify individual visitors and do not require cookies.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as it's needed to deliver the engaged services, plus a reasonable period afterwards for legal, tax, and audit purposes (typically 7 years for financial records under Australian law). You can request deletion of any information we hold by emailing the address below.
7. Your rights
Under Australian privacy law you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion (subject to our legal retention obligations)
- Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if you believe we've breached the APPs
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information (encrypted transit, access controls, secrets stored outside source code). However, no internet transmission is 100 % secure. We don't provide cybersecurity advice, audits, or warranties to clients — that's the responsibility of the client and their chosen specialists.
9. Overseas storage
Some of our service providers store data outside Australia (e.g. Stripe, Render, Google). By using our services you consent to this transfer. We only use providers with reasonable security and privacy standards.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
